Course Description
The Strathmore Golf Club is located 25 minutes East of Calgary and only 2 km north on Wheatland Trail (turn left at the Husky).
This 18 hole golf course is one of the best rural courses in the Calgary area and is know for their well kept and fast greens. It features a licensed restaurant, all grass driving range, two practice greens and a fully stocked pro shop – including club repairs and regripping.
Strathmore Golf Club is a links style course featuring a challenging front nine that includes our signature hole – the Par 4 5th. The dog leg left fifth hole measures 377 yards and a good tee shot will leave a second shot to a full island green. The front is the more difficult of the two nines, with more water and environmental areas in play.
Once you make the turn, better scoring opportunities a wait – but be selective with each shot - hazards still lurk on each hole! The finishing hole is a long par 3 which at times with a steady wind can demand a long iron or fairway wood from even the longest of hitters.
Strathmore Golf Club offers four sets of tee markers for golfers of all abilities. Our slope rating from the Gold Tees is 131. Give Strathmore Golf Club a try and you’ll see why many say it’s the best kept secret in Alberta.
